| Abstract: | Formosalides A (1) and B (2), two novel cytotoxic 17-membered ring macrolides with all-cis tetraenes, a tetrahydropyran ring, and a tetrahydrofuran ring, were isolated from the cultured marine dinoflagellate Prorocentrum sp. Their gross structures, including local relative stereostructures, were elucidated by extensive spectroscopic studies. |
