| Abstract: | When β-trimethylsiloxy α-diazocarbonyl compounds were treated with trimethylsilyl halide, a mixture of α- and γ-halide substituted unsaturated carbonyl compounds was obtained. The mechanism of this novel diazo decomposition process is discussed. |
