| Abstract: | The complex kinetic influence of surface species of catalysts is discussed for propene hydrogenation and hydroformylation over sodium supported palladium and palladium catalyst. The reaction orders in CO demonstrate the involvement of CO in propene hydrogenation. Therefore, an additional pathway for hydrogenation with formation of a complex between CO and hydrogen, which further reacts with propene, is advanced. |
