| Abstract: | Thermotropic smectic phases have been observed for the first time in a zinc coordination complex with tetrahedral geometry; this complex, which contains the pyrazole dimer bis3,5-bis(p-decyloxyphenyl)pyrazolyl]ethane as the ligand, exhibits fluorescence. |
