| Abstract: | Some years ago Bonnor presented a solution of the Einstein-Maxwell equations describing the field of a massive source carrying a magnetic dipole. In this paper I present an analysis of this solution. Bonnor's solution is interesting because of its close connection to the Kerr solution and also because it is not a member of the Weyl electromagnetic class. |
