NMR of Fe57 in lithium ferrite

An apparatus is described for studying NMR of Fe⁵⁷ and Ni⁶¹ in various ferromagnets and ferrimagnets. The NMR of Fe⁵⁷ was observed in lithium ferrite at room temperature. The magnitude of the NMR signal was studied as a function of the external magnetic field, and the signal was found to fall off more rapidly than the permeability with the applied field.
