Polycations. II. Chiral ammonium dendrimer synthesis

The preparation and investigation of chiral cationic dendrimers is described. In these species, cationic sites are provided by quaternary ammonium ion centers derived from the dinitrogen compound 1,4-diazabicyclo[2.2.2]octane (dabco). Stereogenic sites within the dendrimer structures are provided by derivitization of the readily available (S)-1,2,4-butanetriol. © 1998 John Wiley & Sons, Inc. Heteroatom Chem 9: 485–494, 1998
