Abstract:Inertial instruments are introduced with respect to their application prospects,technical requirements and market forecast.Micromechnical gyroscopes and accelerometers are described briefly.This paper stressfully discusses the microoptical gyroscopes over their operation principles,constructions,materials and fabrication techniques.With the development of the Micro-/Nanometer technology,they will be developed into integrated optoelectronic instruments.
