Flutter analysis of cantilevered quadrilateral plates

Abstract:In this paper, the title problem is solved by using a numerical method involving an integral equation technique and a normal mode method. Linear plate theory has been used for computing the strain energy and kinetic energy of the plate. Piston theory has been used to describe the aerodynamic pressure distribution. Numerical work has been done and convergence of the solution has been studied. Results have also been obtained for various cases and compared with those of other investigators.
