| Abstract: | The metal-catalyzed stereoselective 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition of azomethine ylides and acrylates using recyclable meso-hydrobenzoin-derived chiral auxiliaries is described. Cleavage of the auxiliary leads to highly substituted pyrrolidines in up to 87% enantiomeric excess. |
