Abstract:An enantioselective Michael addition of diethyl cyanomethyl phosphonate to chalcones catalysed by bifunctional catalysts based on cinchona alkaloids has been developed, producing enantiomerically enriched cyanophosphonate precursors of α-substituted β-aminophosphonates.
