Abstract: | Coprecipitation with barium sulphate is shown to be an efficient and convenient method of preventing the interference of relatively large amounts of inorganic lead in the determination of alkyllead species by differential-pulse anodic stripping voltammetry. The coprecipitation method has several advantages over complexation of lead with EDTA; ionic alkyllead can be measured in solutions of low pH (pH < 2), or at deposition potentials more negative than ?1.0 V. |
