Metal Chelate Complexes of the Schiff Bases Derived from Salicylaldehyde and Methyl Ethers of Aminophenols (Anisidines)

Abstract:Some transition metal chelates of the Schiff's bases derived from salicylaldehyde and o -anisidine, m -anisidine and p -anisidine have been isolated and characterized. The structures of these complexes have been discussed on the basis of their elemental analyses, conductivities, magnetic moment values, electronic and infrared spectral data. The Ni2+, Cu2+ and Zn2+ form ML2 type compounds, UO22+ and Fe3+ form dimeric UO2 L2]and Fe L2 Cl]2 respectively.
