| Abstract: | A convergent total synthesis of dictyostatin is described. Key features of the synthesis include the use of titanium-mediated cyclizations of (silyloxy)enynes for the synthesis of stereotriads, a subunit coupling by metathesis, and macrocyclization by intramolecular Horner-Wadsworth-Emmons olefination. |
