| Abstract: | Alkyl 2,3-dibromo-3-nitroacrylates reacted with 2-aminobenzenethiol at 18–20°C in benzene to give alkyl 1,3-benzothiazole-2-carboxylates, whereas in glacial acetic acid 2-nitromethylidene-2H-1,4-benzothiazin-3(4H)-one was obtained. |
