| Abstract: | Feasibility was studied whether mixtures containing up to 90 wt % type B hydroxyapatite (Ca/P ≈ 1.50) together with brushite could be synthesized by precipitation from the Ca(NO3)2-(NH4)2HPO4-NH4OH-H2O system. The synthetic materials were characterized by a set of physicochemical methods. Their behavior was studied during heat treatment and dissolution in isotonic 0.9% NaCl solution. |
