| Abstract: | Antileukemic benzo[C]phenanthridine alkaloids, fagaronine (1a) and nitidine (1c) were synthesized from the corresponding protoberberines through C6-N bond fission and subsequent cyclization between C6 and C13 position of the protoberberines. |
