| Abstract: | Enantiomerically pure benzyl -α,β-epoxycarboxylates were prepared by a modified Darzens procedure utilizing aldol condensation reactions of chiral α-haloimidates with various aldehydes. A unique chirality reversal was observed using Zincenolates. |
