| Abstract: | A reaction of calix[4]resorcinols with 3-ethylamino-2,2-dimethylpropanal and aqueous formaldehyde results in new calix[4]resorcinol derivatives including aldehyde fragments aminomethylated at the higher rim of the molecule. Depending on the structure of calixarenes and experimental conditions, products of mono and tetra substitution can be obtained. |
