| Abstract: | A method is proposed for calculating the pressure drop associated with the flow of polymeric systems (solutions, melts, and rubber blends) through short capillaries in which the steady-state flow regime is not established. The method is based on the assumption that the duration of deformation in the prestationary stage plays a decisive role.
