天津北疆博物院补考

天津北疆博物院始建于1922年,是一个集搜集、保存和研究于一身的科学研究机构。房建昌《天津北疆博物院考实》对天津北疆博物院的有关情况进行了比较详细的梳理和考实,但对有关该院的第一手材料特别是档案材料掌握不多,以致仍存在一些问题。文章根据河北大学等单位所藏挡案资料,对博物院的修建及发展过程、经费来源、院藏特色、桑志华的学术活动及贡献等前人论述不多的内容作了重点考察,进一步明确了博物院的一些基本史实。

Addendum on the Haongho-Paiho Museum in Tientsin

The Haongho-Paiho Museum in Tientsin,a scientific institution for collection,preservation and research,was founded in 1922.Although Fang Jian-chang gave a minute textual research in his On the Haongho-Baiho Museum in Tientsin,he had not enough primary material,especially files of the Museum,so there still exist some problems.According to the files in Hebei University and other units,this paper centers on the Museum's building and development process,source of funds,collection characteristics,and the academic activities and contribution of E.Licent,and thus further defines some elementary facts.
