基于FLCAS的英语学习焦虑研究——以高职院校商务英语一年级学生为例

摘    要:采用王才康(2003)修订的FLCAS量表,运用定量加定性的综合研究的方法,对高职院校商务英语一年级学生英语学习焦虑状况进行研究,根据统计结果对部分学生进行访谈,了解他们自身焦虑的主观感受和原因。研究结果显示:商务英语一年级学生英语学习焦虑度明显低于非英语专业一年级学生,与商务英语二年级学生对比则没有显著差异。商英一年级学生外语焦虑水平与外语成绩之间呈负相关,当焦虑处于较低水平时,焦虑度对成绩影响较小,当焦虑超出一定水平后,焦虑对成绩的影响逐渐变大。

Abstract:Anxiety is one of the most influential affective factors in English learning.This study,based on the FLCAS revised by Wong Caikang(2003)(11),explores the anxiety state of Business English freshmen in a vocational college.It is found that the FLCAS level of Business English freshmen is much lower than that of non-English majors,while there is no statistically significant difference between freshmen and sophomore.Meanwhile,a negative correlation is found between Business English freshmen’s FLCAS level and their academic performance.The result also indicates that the lower the anxiety state is,the less influential it will be on the academic performance and vice versa.Based on the statistical result,personal interviews are administered with a view to probing into the causes behind the data.
