Abstract: | Summary Aminoalkanesulphonic acids H2N(CH2)
n
SO3H, (n = 1, 2 or 3) react with phosphonium salts R2P(CH2OH)2]Cl (R = Ph or Cy, Cy = cyclohexyl) in the presence of Et3N to give the sulphonated aminomethylphosphines Et3NH] (R2PCH2)2N(CH2)
n
SO3] (R = Ph, n = 1, 2 or 3; R = Cy, n = 1). The single crystal X-ray structure of Et3NH] (Ph2PCH2)2N(CH2)2SO3] has been determined. Some NiII, PdII, PtII and RhI complexes of the phosphines have been prepared. |
