| Abstract: | Oil yields and compositions from seeds of 15Ebenustaxa growing in Turkey were investigated. The yields were found between 4.0% and 13.0%. The seeds ofE. Barbigerashowed the highest whileE. Plumosavar.plumosashowed the lowest yield of oil among the 15 taxa investigated. GC/MS showed that linoleic acid (42.8-55.6%), palmitic acid (13.8-23.6%), and oleic acid (15.9-23.6%) are the main fatty acid components of all the species |
