| Abstract: | Nickel catalysts with diazabutadiene ligands promote cross-coupling of benzaldehydes with aryl halides in the presence of zinc as reducing agent, which leads to the corresponding benzhydrols and benzophenones. The benzophenone percentage considerably increases when lithium chloride additive is used. |
