| Abstract: | By measurements of the electron energy distribution function in a Xe afterglow plasma, the rate constants of the binary ionizing collisions between metastable Xe atoms were determined. The value of β22 = (7.3 ± 1) × 10?10cm3s?1 satisfactorily agrees with the value for a van der Waals capture. |
