| Abstract: | Expert system (ES) is a rapidly developed branch of Artificial Intelligence(AI) science. Some general aspects of expert systems, such as knowledge representation, knowledge manipulation, knowledge acquisition, etc. are discussed. The applications of expert systems to analytical chemistry, such as structure elucidation from spectral information, design of analytical (and separation) procedures, optimizing and tuning of complicated analytical instruments, are offered with 57 references. |
