| Abstract: | Necessary and sufficient conditions for the dynamic equivalence of two waves propagating in an elastic p-layer medium and
undergoing all kinds of exchanges on the medium interfaces are formulated. These conditions are represented in the form of
equalities involving powers of the reflection and refraction coefficients occurring in the expressions for the intensities
