Abstract: | The Scalapino-Huberman equation is studied by the Fourier analysis method. The multiple-gap states, its bifurcation points and the corresponding spatial structures are found. The solution of the first-order transition which cannot be obtained by singular-perturbation method is obtained. Our results show that the conclusion of the μ* model about the sequence of first order transition and second-order transition with the rising of the temperature is contrary to experimental results. |
