| Abstract: | Design and structure of a tandem time-of-flight mass analyzer with directionand energy double focusing are described. Every stage of the analyzer is composed of two sector-shaped cylindrical electrodes plus a pair of Matsuda plate, it is equate to an electrostatic analyzerwith two toroidal electrodes. One stage of the analyzer can be used for routine mass spectrometricanalyses,tandem with two stage can be used for mass spectrometry-mass spectrometry. |
