| Abstract: | Ernest Orlando Lawrence's biography and his major contribution in physics are outlined.The epoch background and the process of inventing cyclotron are reviewed.The working theory of the cyclotron is described.And the development of cyclotron is also referred.Finally,the reasons for his success is explored. |
