Abstract:
We propose an atomic magnetometer based on time-domain interferometry with a double-dark-state system created in ultracold atoms. We show that the occupation difference of the two dark states varies sensitively with magnetic fields and measurement time, and the expected sensitivity of the magnetometer is mainly limited by the sensitivity of the occupation difference measurement.
