| Abstract: | Various types of diethyl α-hydroxyphosphonates were converted efficiently to their corresponding diethyl α-ketophosphonates by pyridiinum chlorochromate (PCC) without cleavage of C(O)─P bond in the absence of solvent or in solution in high yields. |
