| Abstract: | A simple and convenient procedure for the rapid oxidation of a variety of selenides, selenoxides, tellurides, and telluroxides with aqueous sodium hypochlorite to selenones and tellurones, respectively, has been reported in dimethylformamide at ambient temperature. |
