Thermodynamic properties of epoxy reaction systems

Enthalpy, entropy, and Gibbs free energy of epichlorhydrin, bisphenol A, and epoxy resins from specific heat data obtained experimentally in a DuPont 900 differential thermal analyzer are described. The epoxy resin used has a second-order transition temperature around ?15°C and a chain rigidity of 50.6 cal/g.
