Abstract: | Ligational behavior of thiosemicarbazones and semicarbazones derived from 1-phenyl-3-arylpyrazole-4-carboxaldehydes towards triphenylchlorosilane has been investigated by elemental analysis, molar conductivity measurements, and IR, 1H, 13C, and 29Si NMR spectroscopic studies. The ligands and their organosilicon complexes have also been evaluated for in vitro antimicrobial activity against some pathogenic bacteria and fungi.
