| Abstract: | A variety of carbonyl containing compounds have been successfully reacted with 1,2-ethanedithiol in a thioacetylization reaction using tetrabutylammonium hydrogensulfate as a mild and efficient catalyst. Aldehydes and ketones react with good to excellent yields under mild conditions. |
