| Abstract: | The regioselective synthesis of 3-diethoxyphosphonopyrazoles has been accomplished through the addition of aryl or alkyl hydrazines to (3-ethoxyacryloyl)phosphonic acid diethyl ester. An example of hydrolysis of the pyrazolephosphonic ester to the corresponding acid is described. |
