Iodocyclization of 2-allythio-4(3H)-pyrimidinones

It has been established that the iodocyclization of 2-allythio-4-(3H)-pyrimidinones occurs at the N₍₁₎ nitrogen atom with the formation of 3-iodomethyl-7-oxo-2,3-dihydro-8H-thiazolo3,2-d]pyrimidinium iodides and triiodides.Chelyabinsk State University, Chelyabinsk, 454136.
