Abstract: | Non-local theory for composite is applied to solve the Mode III crack problem under impact loading. The composite is a laminate made up of two different orthotropic layers. Based on the classical boundary conditions, all quantities are expressed in terms of a single unknown function. Integral transform is used to reduce the problem to a system of dual integral equations. The solution is obtained by using the Copson's method 1], which can be generalized to include arbitrary loading applied to the crack. |
