| Abstract: | Two new sesquiterpenoids of the unprecedented neoiemnane ring system, and one eremophflane-derived sesquiterpene diol have been isolated from the pacific soft-coral Lemnalia africana. The structure of the novel neolemnane compounds, 4 and 5, were confirmed by X-ray crystallography, and the diol, 6, has been described based upon spectral analysis and chemical modification. |
