| Abstract: | Activation of the chemoattractant receptor of Dictyostelium elicits many of the same biochemical events seen when mammalian G-protein-coupled receptors are activated. Studies in this organism provide evidence for new signaling pathways that are activated by receptors of this type, and fresh insights into the mechanism of signal transduction by G proteins. |
