First Time Solutions of 3 x 3 Two-Person Zero-Sum Games

This paper examines the relative success rates of simple techniques for the solution of 3 x 3 games. It is suggested that examination of a 2 x 2 subgame which does not possess a saddle point is the most likely means of obtaining a first time solution to the original 3 x 3 game.
