Abstract: | Results of three problems investigated on a Chemical Oxygen-Iodine Laser (COIL) in our laboratory are presented in connection with the advanced COIL development in the world. These problems concern: i) A gain modulation on the laser transition in iodine atom, I(2P1/2) - (2P3/2), by external magnetic field, and its utilization for a COIL output power stabilization, ii) An evaluation of the Einstein A-coefficient of singlet oxygen, O2(1 g), and its utilization in advanced diagnostics for O2(1 g) determination in COIL operation, iii) A chemically driven iodine atom delivery system for advanced COIL. |
