Abstract:We consider a variety of mechanisms for the NMR relaxation rates of the central component of a quadrupole split line in ionic conductors. These mechanisms suggest an explanation for recently observed frequency independent T1 minima, associated structure in T2, and predict some behavior that should and should not be seen in specific types of experiments.
