Some comments on central component nuclear magnetic resonance relaxation rates in ionic conductors

We consider a variety of mechanisms for the NMR relaxation rates of the central component of a quadrupole split line in ionic conductors. These mechanisms suggest an explanation for recently observed frequency independent T₁ minima, associated structure in T₂, and predict some behavior that should and should not be seen in specific types of experiments.
