| Abstract: | The lattice dynamics of cubic BaTiO3 have been investigated by inelastic neutron scattering using a high energy triple axis spectrometer. Measurements were carried out in the [(100), (010)] scattering plane of the crystal to obtain the dispersion curves in the (100) direction. The measured optical branches are in good agreement with the theoretical predictions from a pseudo-ionic model. |
