| Abstract: | Chemical reaction: See text] A "linchpin" coupling strategy is described for the construction of long-chain fatty acid metabolites. This strategy led to a short synthesis of the ethyl esters of both 11,12-epoxyeicosatrienoic acid (EET) and 11S,12S-dihydroxyeicosatrienoic acid (DHET). |
