Abstract: | Abstract A new complex Co(H2pztc)(bpy)H2O] (H4pztc = pyrazine-2,3,5,6-tetracarboxylic acid, bpy = 2,2′-bipyridine) has been synthesized by hydrothermal reactions of Co(NO3)2 · 6H2O with H4pztc and bpy and characterized by IR and X-ray diffraction single crystal structure analysis. It belongs to monoclinic system,
P21/c space group with a = 13.454(2) ?, b = 12.939(2) ?, c = 11.4993(19) ?, α = 90°, β = 111.640(3)°, γ = 90°. This complex is assembled into 3D supramolecular architecture by hydrogen bonds (O–H···O, C–H···O).
