| Abstract: | This paper analyzes the special features of ATM (Asynchronous Transfer Mode) and explores several promising technologies which can be used to enhance the survivability of communication .networks, such as promptly detecting failures, backup VP (Virtual Path) with zero bandwidth and multi-link transmission concept etc. Considerations concerned with pratical applications are also discussed at last. |
