Abstract: | A novel, inexpensive, thermophilic protease-type enzyme isolated from Clostridium thermohydrosulfuricum was used for dipeptide synthesis. The enzyme showed broad substrate selectivity and enantioselectivity towards l-amino acids in peptide bond formation. |
